Previous - 2016: The Islamic Aesthetic
I began to realise that both myself and my practice were very different from my peers/cohort. This prompted me to find out about my own culture and religion. I found and attended the The Princes’ Foundation’s Persian Miniature Painting course. From this, it had made me appreciate and understand:
The importance of geometric design
The appearance of human silhouette, flat and out of proportion
The colour and the richness of the pigments used within the paintings
